Les Amis 4u is a very similar group to Northern Link, recently formed by single Brits living around Beziers in the Languedoc Roussillon area of southern France.
Link Culture Vultures members are very welcome to get in touch and drop in on Les Amis events, which include chat nights, restaurant visits (very important!) and cultural events.

Nicola says Les Amis can help with accommodation for your trip, as she knows the owner of a number of gites.
There is lots to do in the area - Le Canal du Midi, Carcassonne, Beziers, Narbonne and the Med nearby
Beziers has an airport, but this is only accessible from London and Bristol. Nearby airports with Ryanair flights from Liverpool are Nimes and Carcassonne, both of which are on the train line to Beziers. You can also travel to Nimes by Eurostar and TGV.
Nicola also suggests that members may be interested in having pen friends among Les Amis.
